For 2006, Toyota makes front torso airbags and head-protecting curtain side airbags standard on all models of its minivan.
Sienna models ascend through CE, LE, XLE, and leather-trimmed XLE Limited. All use a V6, 5-speed automatic transmission, and front-wheel drive. All-wheel drive is available except for CE, which includes run-flat tires.
All Siennas include ABS, tire-pressure monitor, tilt/telescope steering wheel, remote keyless entry, rear air conditioning, and sliding rear side doors with power-down windows. A power sliding right-side door is optional for LEs. XLEs and Limiteds come with dual power doors, power liftgate, and dual power front seats. A memory system for power mirrors/driver seat is newly standard for Limiteds, optional for XLEs. All Siennas have standard seating for seven via 2nd-row buckets, and a 60/40 3rd-row bench that folds into the floor. CE and LE carry eight with an optional 2nd-row bench whose middle section is sized for a child-safety seat. Limiteds and AWDs have 17-inch wheels vs. 16s.
Exclusive to Limiteds are standard xenon headlamps, front/rear obstacle detection, and adaptive cruise control, joined for '06 by power-folding door mirrors with turn-signal/courtesy lamps. A navigation system and rear DVD entertainment are optional.
