Pontiac introduces the Torrent to its line-up for 2006, boasting a SUV with car-like handling. The Torrent is fitted with a 185-hp 3.4L V6 coupled with a five-speed automatic transmission. Other standard amenities include ABS brakes, traction control, sport-tuned suspension, sliding rear seat, and a stereo with CD player. Several option packages are also available, offering equipment such as leather seats, side impact airbags, a sunroof, and a premium stereo with a six-disc CD changer and seven speakers. Other options include a cargo panel, carpeted floor mats, the OnStar system, heated seats, and XM radio.
