For 2006, the Sportage comes in EX, LX, and LX V6 trims, in both 2WD and 4WD configurations. All models come standard with power door and power windows, 60/40 split rear seats with drop and fold feature, and side and head curtain airbags. The LX is powered by a four-cylinder 2.0-liter engine, in either a four-speed automatic or a five-speed manual transmission. The higher-end EX V6 and LX V6 is powered by a V6 2.7-liter engine with a four-speed automatic transmission. Standard features on the EX V6 models include fog lamps, heated mirrors, sunroof, leather-wrapped steering wheel, and keyless remote entry with alarm. A luxury package is available on the EX V6 model that adds leather seats and trims, heated seats, and an AM/FM/Cassette/CDC stereo.
