The Jeep Compass returns for 2009 and is offered in four trims: Sport and Limited, in both 2WD and 4WD configurations. All trims are powered by a 172- hp 2.4-liter engine matted to either a five-speed manual transmission or CVT automatic transmission. The Limited trims offer an array of standard features such as tinted windows, vehicle information center, keyless remote entry, roof rails, and heated seats. Safety features include a tire pressure monitor and front and rear head curtain airbags. A Trailer Tow Prep Group Package is available, which adds engine oil cooler, a conventional spare tire, and a trailer tow wiring harness. Other options include chrome aluminum wheels, a communication system, and special exterior paint colors. The Jeep Compass Sport 2WD was introduced in 2007; no information is currently available on upcoming changes.
