For 2009, the Honda Element has been freshened, with minor changes to the interior and exterior. Updates include a new front grille and bumper, front fenders which have been restyled for a more rugged appearance (and are now metal instead of a composite material), as well as a new hood, wheel arches, and headlight and tail treatments. The Element is still available in three trims--the entry level LX, a more feature-oriented EX, and the sport SC level. New features available on the EX and SC include a Satellite-linked navigation system, rear view camera (with auto only), USB connectivity, and an improved overhead console storage design. Interior changes see more vivid color schemes with 'titanium-look' trim, updated fabric patterns, and a new center console.
